I've come to realize that the setup of a culinary blog can get a little impersonal. Every post becomes an instructional tour of a recipe with only a glimpse of my personality to show through. Since I've been blogging, I can't help but notice my international audience growing and that means people who I don't either live with or are related to, read my blog (YAY!!) super exciting! So I decided that I needed to add a non-instructional post to give my readers a small idea of what I am all about in the world of food. Here's my top 10 random things you didn't know about me as a chef....insert gratuitous photo of myself.

10 things you didn't know about me as a chef:
1. I didn't really start to like food until I was a senior in high school
2. The weirdest thing I've ever eaten was Kangaroo
3. If I were a millionaire and could do whatever I wanted, I would go to culinary school and open a small restaurant in the West Village
4. I get on random, obsessive kicks of cooking certain dishes, and make the same thing 4 times a week
5. If I could host a huge Thanksgiving-sized meal at my apartment every night, I could die happy right now
6. My 2 favorite kitchen accoutrements are my Quisinart and my Yoshi blade
7. I spend most of my day at work planning out menus in my head
8. I have an insane desire for my own chef's jacket with my name embroidered on it
9. I could spend my entire pay check on groceries, kitchen utensils, Tupperware, spices....
Yes, these are mostly awkward and random, but that's pretty much the kind of person I am. In addition to you hearing about me, I would like to hear from all of you, my viewers! Any suggestions for the site, for recipes, for requests to see certain dishes cooked....let me know!!!
